About LSR
Lao Social Research (LSR Ltd) was formed in 2011 by experienced social researchers in the Lao PDR to provide a specialized social research service. LSR is registered with the Department of Enterprise Registration and Management, Ministry of Industry and Commerce under registration number 3089, 30/08/2011.
Our Mission
LSR’s mission is to provide a high quality qualitative social research service to address the research needs of international financial institutions, NGOs, and bilateral aid agencies.
Services
LSR started out providing social research, field surveys, evaluations, and analysis as the initial business focus. However through the success of our projects, confidence, and support from our clients, LSR has expanded to include the services below. In addition to our success, our capacity has allowed us to incorporate more IT services in the last five years. Our IT service ranges from implementation of the latest technology platforms to developing customized software applications. This includes developing databases, websites, providing computer assisted personal interviews (CAPI) such as ODK based systems, etc. Notice that our IT service is not a service category on its own but a service to support/enhance the M&E, Field Survey, and Data Analysis service. As a supplement to our IT services we are currently seeking to expand more into providing business intelligence service. Social Research
The method of investigating may be varied however any method chosen is within the context of the Lao environment.
Field Survey
We conduct field data collection using ODK based applications on Android tablets.
Data Analysis
We employ a range of methods in order to deliver a full range of survey design, data management, analytical and qualitative analysis.
M&E
Allow us to help you improve performance and achieve results for current and future management of outputs, outcomes and impact.
Impact Evaluations
We have conduction social and economic impact evaluations on projects of over 3,000 households.
Studies
We conduct studies on feasibility, village, social transfer, and micro-finance.
Translations
More than just translation, we understand the importance of conveying the sense of the text without tampering with the actual meaning.
Workshop Management
Numerous workshops have been managed using our own facility and external facilities.
